Yes, we require a deposit depending on the vehicle and the length of your hire.
All hire charges must be paid in advance, or on collection of vehicle.
Yes, please contact us. We are happy to make minor changes to bookings where possible, which may incur a small admin fee.
If you need to cancel a booking, we need 24 hours notice from the beginning of the hire period.
If you arrive late to collect your vehicle we cannot guarantee an extension at the end of your hire.
Failure to notify us and make payment of a hire extension will result in the vehicle NOT being insured and may be reported stolen.
If you are going to be late picking up your vehicle, please call us as soon as you know you will be late. We cannot guarantee an extension if you are late however.
If you are more than an hour late and we haven't heard from you, we will consider the hire cancelled.
We accept most major credit cards/ debit cards, excluding American Express. We do not accept cash. The cardholder must be present.
We take the cost of the rental from your deposit. After we have calculated any excess costs (i.e fuel, miles or damages) we will process your refund within 48 hours.
Yes, however you must call us first. The driver must come to the office to complete an Insurance form before being able to drive the vehicle. Full driving licence and identification are required.
£5.00 a day. This is the cost of Insurance.
Extras can be added anytime up until the vehicle goes on hire. After the vehicle has been picked up, any extras will need to be cleared by the office first.
If the van is brought back in poor condition, cleaning charges may be applied at the discretion of Portman Van Hire. We will also charge for any rubbish left in the vehicle.
For any Penalty Charge Notice or other Road Traffic Offence received whilst the vehicle is on hire to you, an administration fee of £15 + VAT will be charged for each PCN received.
We offer car park for £5/day
Vehicle has 24 hour roadside assistance with RAC recovery. Assistance may be chargeable if found to be driver error.
Absolutely! If you would like a copy, we can either print you a physical copy, or save the trees and email it to you.
